Happy new year!
One of the main things I plan to work on in 2017 is focusing solely on myself and not let someone else's progression or slack greatly impact my results.
I say this because I am a people-pleaser. I tend to put others needs and wants before my own because I find joy in making others happy. In fact, sometimes this trait is so extreme that I feel upset when I am unable to do what it takes to make my loved one happy. I would go out of my way just to make an effort, sometimes to the point of negatively impacting my own life and goals.
This is not necessarily a bad thing. It only gets bad when I lose focus of my own goals just to please others. So this year, my plan is to stay focused, keep helping others but not at the cost of holding my own dreams and goals back.
My three priorities this year are: fitness, finances and faith. I used to be a regular church-goer but quickly found out that going to church does make me a perfect Christian. I would like to practice having a solid foundation in my faith of humanity. God, not God, I need that sense of faith to continue persevering. Finances could always use some work. I am still young and have a whole life ahead of me. I have begun saving for my future and need to make smarter financial decisions on a daily basis. And fitness will always be important to me. Being able is something I will always be grateful for, especially since it could (and almost was) easily be taken away from me and those around me.
Stay healthy, all! Looking forward to 2017 with you!
