I have a tough time with setting & keeping priorities because of my bad habit of always putting my loved ones first. Of course I want to save money/get my money right, work more on my wellness coaching business, do more professional development, but the more I think of things to work on, the most I hear the cash register ringing in my head. The key is to finding a balance amongst it all. If you are like me, you were not born into a wealthy family, but raised well. You've seen what it means to work hard and make ends meet. So money may always be something you have to consider, but that doesn't stop you from dreaming big.
Now, there is nothing wrong with having too many or too big of goals. That just means you are ambitious and a go-getter. But more importantly is how we prioritize each of our goals. There are things we can accomplish immediately, like losing 10 lbs in 3 months, or others that may take much longer, like buying a house or writing a book.
My recommendation is to do a serious self-reflection twice a year. Once-a-month would be great but that is quite unrealistic for most people who don't already have a habit of being in tune with self. During this reflection, it would be great to think about where you are, where you've been, and where you plan to be in the next few months. Review your goals from last time and consider timing, feasibility, cost (in energy and money) and desired results when deciding how to prioritize each of them.
